Causeway Geotech were appointed by Renfrewshire Council to carry out overwater ground investigation works for provision of geotechnical and environmental information to characterise ground conditions at the river bed alongside an existing dock, as well as a number of locations along the existing riverbanks for input to the design and construction of a proposed new quayside and a pair of road bridges.

Works were carried out under the supervision of a team of two Site Engineers from Causeway Geotech who liaised with the Client’s Representative and Peel Ports Authority.

Overwater works were carried out on a 24/7 working hours basis to expedite delivery of the site works programme.

Independent noise surveys were conducted due to the proximity of the works area to residential properties. Noise attenuation measures were adopted to ensure minimal impact to residents.

The project was completed ahead of schedule successfully.
